Description

Chanel No 5 Eau de Parfum by Chanel is a Floral Aldehyde fragrance for women. Chanel No 5 Eau de Toilette was launched in 1921. The nose behind this fragrance is Ernest Beaux. The top notes are neroli, ylang-ylang, bergamot, amalfi lemon and aldehydes; middle notes are iris, jasmine, orris root, rose and lily-of-the-valley; base notes are vetiver, musk, sandalwood, patchouli, oak moss, amber, vanille and Civetta. Since its creation in 1921, N°5 has exuded the very essence of femininity. The abstract, mysterious scent—alive with countless subtle facets—radiates an extravagant floral richness. In 1986, Jacques Polge reinterpreted his predecessor Ernest Beaux’s composition to create a fuller, more voluminous version of the now and forever fragrance: the Eau de Parfum.
